Darjeeling
In Tibetan language, Darjeeling means big hill. Darjeeling is the land of hill that is situated in India. During British period in India, it was the capital of Sub continent India for the summer time. At that period, the emperors used to come to Darjeeling to get rid of scorching sun. Still now, this tradition is going on. Every year millions of tourists come to Darjeeling for sight seeing.

To visit Darjeeling the winter months eg September, October are suitable because in these months the place remains free from cloud. In this land of cloud, you can see the cloud wandering around here and there just besides your surrounding area and you can easily touch the clouds. The best sight of Darjeeling is the morning where the hills full of clouds take red colour due to reddish ray of sunshine. The situation takes place mainly in the hill Kanchanjangha that is called daughter of the hill. The sight of Kanchanjangha during sunrise will give you a great pleasure if you watch it from Tiger hill.

In the summer seasons, hills become full of rhododendron and magnolia flowers. The hills then take the colour that is the combination of red and yellowish golden colour. In the city of Darjeeling, the water supply is provided by the artificial lakes. You have to take a ticket to enter into the lake area and the water flow, quiet and calm environment will charm you so much. You can see the highest peak of the world, which is Everest from Starling. Here there is an institute called Himalayan Mountaineering Institute where you can learn about climbing on the hills and there is Himalayan museum. There is also a zoo where you can see Siberian tigers, Black bears, Leopards, Panthers, Pandas and so on. There are tea gardens in the slopes of the hill.

In brief I would like to say, that Darjeeling is one of the famous tourist spot in the world and do not miss it.
