Hidden dangers

For every store out there from David Jones, to Myer, Target and Harris Scarfe, it seems every one has its own store card. But do you really know about the card you have?Despite the rewards on offer there are some serious down sides to these cards. They have very high interest rates, and often short interest free periods. Also many have a christmas option where you pay no interest until February. Many people don't realise that if you don't pay, you will be charged interest from the day that you first purchased the item. - For example a $69 purchase in december, if not paid by the due date in February, will incur $30 in interest. I hope this opens some eyes because credit cards are expensive enough without tricks like this which can make you broke - just imagine if this was a $1000 debt?!
