Perhaps not many people are fully aware that thousands and thousands of pet dogs being killed each year in council pounds across Australia with the use of our tax money.

My website: www.dogsacrossaustralia.com was created for the benefits of some of the "No Kill' dog Shelters and to inform the puplic. These caring organisations rescue some of the dogs from the pounds, provide them with shelter, food and vet. care until they offered a Forever Home.

There are many reasons why this terrible situation is occuring - details are both on my websites and the rescue shelters' - One of the reason is - anyone can buy dogs from pounds and retail outlets, whereas Rescue Shelters carefully vet potential new dog owners. If councils did the same, there would be fewer 'binned' dogs.
