At Doctors Gully, right in the heart of Darwin and within
walking distance of most city hotels is a unique attraction
which has been featured in countless television programs

1860's the old wooden lighthouse was dismantled at Queenscliff and rebuilt in 1867 at Port Lonsdale VIC then in 1902 it was replaced with the current structure which stands 120ms above sea-level and the radiating light 30kms out to sea. A cliff walk leads west to Port Lonsdale Look-out, and another walk from the base of the lighthouse leads to Buckley's Cave.
You can even visit the Historical Cemetry which opened in 1856, it has very interesting and sad graves of shipwreck victims,lighthouse keepers and early pilots........
